Nyanya, a burstling suburb of Abuja, the Nigerian Federal Capital, has been rocked by another explosion, barely two weeks after a twin bomb blast at the city’s bus station officially killed over 70 persons and injured over 200.
Reports reaching News Express that a loud explosion just occurred few minutes ago in Nyanya.
“The explosion took place opposite the scene of last fortnight’s bomb blast,” a source told News Express.
It is not yet known if there are any casualties.
The April 14 twin bomb blast had occurred during rush hour (around 7am) when a vehicle laden with Improvised Explosive Device (IED) exploded in the busy bus stop where commuters board government-operated luxury buses.
The Boko Haram terrorist group later claimed responsibility for it.
