Arewa mourns Captain Sambo, commiserates with Vice President Namadi Sambo

The Arewa Consultative Forum (ACF) this morning joined in mourning Captain Sabo Sambo, brother of Vice President, Arc. Muhammad Namadi Sambo, who died in a road crash yesterday in Abuja.

ACF in a statement issued in Kaduna signed by its National Publicity Secretary Muhammad Ibrahim said it learnt with grief and shock of the death of Capt. Sambo, which occurred while he was on his way to Abuja International Airport on a National assignment to pilot the Nigeria Police Aircraft.

“ACF hereby commiserates with the family of Vice President Namadi Sambo and pray to Almighty Allah to grant the departed soul eternal rest in Aljannah Firdaus and the bereaved family the fortitude to bear this irreparable loss,” the statement said, adding:

“ACF equally extends its condolence to the Government and people of Kaduna state over the death of its illustrious son Capt Sambo. May his soul rest in perfect peace. Amin.”

News Express reports that Capt. Sambo had been flying for about 30 years, from the defunct Nigerian Airways, to the Presidential fleet and then the Nigeria Police.

ACF said he “would be remembered for his diligence, commitment to service and most importantly his humility.”
