Cloudy Skies
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday, June 12, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with possibilities of morning thunderstorm over Yelwa. Later in the day, the Katsina, Gusau, Kano, Zaria and Bauchi have likelihood of isolated thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 38℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: In the morning, there are possibilities of isolated thunderstorms over Plateau, Nassarawa and the Mambilla Plateau. Kaduna, Jos, Abuja, Lafia, Yola and Jalingo are expected to experience isolated thunderstorms during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 22 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 23/26℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: The inland cities of the South East are expected to be cloudy in the morning with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over the entire region while the inland of the south-west is expected to experience localised rain showers throughout the forecast period. Calabar, Lagos and Port Harcourt on the coast should experience morning rain while in the afternoon/evening period, there are better prospects for localised rain are in the coastal region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 31℃and 24℃respectively.
