The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, May 28, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorm is anticipated over Yelwa, Sokoto and Kebbi axis in the morning hours while the afternoon is expected to be cloudy. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 38℃and 24 – 29℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy sky is envisaged over most part of this region with prospect of thunderstorm over Abuja, Minna, Bida and Mambilla axis in the morning hours. However, thunderstorm is probable over Yola, Jos, Bauchi, Abuja, Jalingo, Lafia and Kaduna axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 36℃and 21 – 24℃respectively except for Jos 27/15℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Increased cloudiness is anticipated over this region with chances of localised thunderstorm over Ilorin, Shaki and moderate rain over the coastal states in the morning hours. Later in the afternoon/evening period, localised thunderstorm is expected over Abeokuta, Oshogbo, Akure, Enugu, Abakaliki, Ikom and rain showers over the coastal states. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 34℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
