The Anambra State Commissioner of Police Anambra State Garba Baba Umar has called on Anambra inhabitants of the state to disregard alleged calls by the Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) urging them to sit at home on May 30, 2018.

A statement by the Police Public Relations Officer (PPRO),SP Haruna Mohammed, on Friday the CP assured their security urging them to go about their lawful businesses.

He said that the command is working assiduously to ensure adequate protection of lives and properties in the state.

Umar added: “The Command with other security agencies will not hesitate to deal decisively with any individual or groups under any guise that will disrupt Public Peace.”

News Expressrecalls that the “sit at home” order by IPOB which started May, last year was partially adhered to by mostly traders out of fear, no violence or death was recorded.
