Cloudy skies
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, May 26, 2018:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected with chances of localised thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru, Dutse and Kano in the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over places like Katsina, Gusau, Sokoto and Yelwa axis during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 34 – 41℃and 25 – 27℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the region with prospect of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Mambila Plateau, Abuja, Kaduna and Lafia. There are chances of localised thunderstorms over the region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 35℃and 24 – 26℃respectively except for Jos 24/16℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is expected over the region with chances of localised rains over Calabar and Lagos in the morning hours. Later in the day, localised thunderstorm are anticipated over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 20 – 24℃respectively.
