CEO of TOS TV Network, Osasu Igbinedion
Speaking as a panelist at the recently concluded SDGs Story Hangout in Abuja, ace journalist and CEO of TOS TV Network, Ms. Osasu Igbinedion, has urged Nigerian youths to hold government accountable to deliver on their promises to the people.
Osasu stated this while responding to questions regarding “Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and Good Governance” during the May edition of the SDGs Story Hangout hosted by the Denmark embassy, in Abuja.
Stressing her point, Osasu said: “Times are changing and now is the time for young people to rise up, unite their voices and hold the government accountable to deliver.” Commenting on how young people should see the United Nation’s Sustainable Development Goals as an avenue to make local impacts with global reach, “I have personally dedicated myself to providing opportunities for well-meaning individuals to push their agenda and efforts on the SDGs Space and shake public opinion. In taking the SDGs message to the rural and peri-urban communities, Nigerian youths must have the ability to communicate smoothly and in simple understandable language the Sustainable Development Goals and how it affects the people at their respective local levels.” Ms. Igbinedion said.
Other panelists during the interactive forum included; Mr. Louis Eriomola, the Executive Secretary, National Institute for Cultural Orientation, Ms. Bukky Shonibare, Founder of Girls Child Africa, and Ms. Rose Keffas, the Special Assistant to the Senior Special Adviser to the President on Sustainable Development Goals.
