Kogi Governor, Yahaya Bello
Kogi State Government has commenced the payment of bursary allowance to students of Kogi State indigenes across the country.
The payment will capture students who completed their registration on the bursary portal before the deadline.
The bursary payment is scheduled to be paid in batches as some students have already started receiving credit alert directly into their registered bank account.
This information was disclosed by the Special Adviser to the Governor on New Media, Odaudu Joel Ministeron Wednesday.
National Diploma (ND); National Certificate of Education (NCE), and School of Nursing and Health Science students are receiving credit alert of N9,000.
Students undergoing Degree/Higher National Diploma (HND) are receiving credit alert N12,000.
Law/Medicine students are receiving N18,000.
The bursary portal will be reopened for prospective students to register for the 2018/2019 bursary allowance.
His Excellency, Governor Yahaya Bello, while reiterating his focus on education as one of the priorities of his administration stated that the era of bursary allowance payment to students has gone extinct as it is a drag on the operations of the state's Scholarship Board.
He urged students to key into the programmes of the Scholarship Board in order to take advantage of the huge benefits that are available to them there.
