The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, May 20, 2018:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected in the morning hours with chances of localised thunderstorms over Yelwa, Southern Maiduguri and its environs in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the ranges of 36 – 41℃ and 21 – 28℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is anticipated over the region. Localised thunderstorms are expected over places like Abuja, Lafia and Ilorin axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 36o℃ and 18 – 27℃ respectively except for Jos 28/18℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with possibilities of localised rain showers over places like Warri, Port Harcourt, Calabar and Yenagoa in the morning hours while later in the afternoon/evening period localised thunderstorms are anticipated over the inland and coastal cities. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32℃ and 22 – 25℃ respectively.
