Anambra Chief Judge, Justice Peter Umeadi
The Chief Judge of Anambra State, Justice Peter Umeadi, has ordered the creation of three new judicial divisions in the state.
The new divisions include Anaocha, Ogbaru and Orumba-South judicial divisions.
The order for the new creation which was issued by the Chief Judge on April 23rd, 2018 was titled “Anambra State High Court (Judicial Division) Order 2018”.
According to a public notice signed by Umeadi, the High court in Anaocha would be sitting at Neni, Ogbaru division would sit at Atani, while the High court at Orumba South local government area would hold its proceedings at Umunze and Umuchukwu (Nkerehi) towns respectively.
The three new additions brings to ten the total number of judicial divisions in the state.
Speaking with journalists on the latest developmenton Tuesday, the Acting Chief Registrar, Mr. Nnamdi Mbanefo said the aim of creating the new divisions was to bring Justice closer to the people of the area.
He explained that the Order supersedes all judicial notices or orders previously made in respect of judicial divisions of High Court of Anambra State.
