RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro Felix Obuah
The Sole Administrator of the Rivers State Waste Management Agency (RIWAMA), Bro. Felix Obuah, has terminated the contracts of two service providers with the agency for non-performance.
Bro. Obuah in a statement issued on Thursday in Port Harcourt named the sacked contractors as Pavic PHC Multi Services and 799 Emmax Nigeria Ventures.
He said that the two service providers were dismissed for their inability to keep their zones clean which include D/Line, parts of Aba Road and Oyigbo respectively, in spite of repeated warnings and appeals by the Agency.
The Sole Administrator assured that the measure would serve as a deterrent to other recalcitrant contractors who do not want to take their jobs serious.
Bro. Obuah also vowed that the agency would no longer spare any service provider who is not ready to work and keep their areas clean.
Meanwhile, this month’s sanitation exercise billed for Saturday, March 31, 2018 has been cancelled.
This, according to the RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro. Felix Obuah, is to enable Christians living and doing business in the state perform the rites of the Holy Week, leading to Easter Sunday.
He wished all Rivers people a clean, healthy and happy Easter celebration and enjoined them to use the period of Easter to pray for the continued success of the Nyesom Ezenwo Wike-led government in the state.
