Late Senator Ali Wakil
Deputy Senate Leader, Bala Ibn Na’Allah, has described late Senator Ali Wakil as a politician with an unprecedented passion for truth and honesty.
The Senator representing Bauchi Central at the Senate died after a brief illness on Saturday.
In his condolence message on Tuesday, Mr. Na’Allah said late Senator Wakil remained one of the most consistent loyal politician to government.
Mr. Na’Allah among many others had earlier signed a condolence register opened at the National Assembly.
“I have never come across a politician with an unprecedented passion for truth and honesty than the one I find in Senator Wakil.
“Apart from his passion for integrity,vhe has remained one of the most consistent loyal politician to these government.
“I would forever miss him for his brutal bluntness to whatever he does not believe in,” he added.
He prayed to Allah to grant him Aljannat Firdausi and his family, people of his senatorial zone, Bauchi State, National Assembly and Nigerians the fortitude to bear the loss.
The senate president, Bukola Saraki, had tweeted about Mr. Wakili’s passing.
“Inalilahi wa Ina Ilaehi Rajiun. It is the Almighty Allah (SWT) that gives life, and it his Him that takes it away. I pray that the Almighty Allah grants the dear departed Senator a place in Al Jannah Firdaus,”part of the tweet said.
