Dr Ikedi Ohakim, former Governor of Imo State, in a statement signed by his Chief Press Secretary (CPS), Collins Ughalaa, expressed his condolence to Prof Maurice Iwu, former National Chairman of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC), and other members of the Iwu family, over the death of their mother, Nneoma Eunice Nkwoada Iwu, who will be buried on Friday, March 16, 2018.

According to the press release, the former Governor who is running for a second term in office in the 2019 governorship election said that “Nneoma was known for her kindness, peacefulness and cheerful personality which endeared her to many and earned her the title of Nneoma.”

He also described the decease as “a devout Christian and an illustrious daughter of Imo State who lived a commendable life.”

Ohakim also “urged the Iwu family to take heart and be consoled that their mother lived an exemplary life and left worthy legacies behind.”
