Abia teachers call off strike

Teachers in Abia State have called off their strike, the State Government announced on Saturday.

“Classes will resume at public primary and secondary schools in Abia State on Monday, 12th February 2018, as members of Nigeria Union of Teachers (NUT) have called off the recent industrial action they embarked on,” the State Commissioner for Information, Chief John Okiyi Kalu, said in a short statement.

The commissioner provided no further details.
