Soldiers on the way to an operation
An average of 500 innocent Nigerians are killed monthly by government security agencies, Fulani insurgents and Boko Haram terrorists, according to the International Society for Civil Liberties & The Rule of Law (Intersociety).
The ugly trend, the group said through its Board Chairman Emeka Umeagbalasi, has persisted since June 2015 – the first full month of the Muhammadu Buhari Administration that took the reins of power on May 29, 2015.
Umeagbalasi said in a document made available to News Express on Sunday that upwards of 15,000 defenseless civilians have been killed extra-judicially in the 31 months that Buhari, a retired Army General, has been in power.
