Pastor Jimmy Odukoya and his new wife
Popular pastor and former Nollywood actor, Jimmy Odukoya, has officially introduced his new wife, Pastor Mo Jasmine, to his church congregation, confirming reports of their marriage.
Odukoya made the announcement during a church service, where he invited his wife onto the altar and presented her to the congregation as the new Mrs Odukoya.
The introduction came a day after the cleric sparked excitement on social media by sharing a photograph of two hands wearing wedding rings, hinting that he had found love again.
Speaking during the service, Odukoya explained that he had been searching for a suitable partner before finding his wife.
“You know, the Bible said it is not good, it said I will find someone suitable. When Adam saw, he said this is the flesh of my flesh, bone of my bone. I was looking and searching, and I found,” he said.
Addressing speculation surrounding the photograph, he added: “Some of you saw the post, some people said is it artwork, no, it’s my wife; allow me to introduce to you for the first time, Pastor Mrs Odukoya, a new first lady, my wife. Pastor Mo Odukoya.”
The marriage marks a new chapter in the cleric’s personal life following the end of his previous marriage to Oluwakemi Sade Banjoko.
The former couple married in London in March 2013 and have two children together before their separation.
Odukoya, who transitioned from acting to full-time ministry, is the son of the late founder of The Fountain of Life Church, Pastor Taiwo Odukoya. (The Sun)
