The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Monday, December 18, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Moderate dust haze is expected to prevail over this region throughout the forecast period. However, partly cloudy condition is likely over Yelwa during the morning hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 38℃ and 16 - 20℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Moderate dust haze is anticipated over this region throughout the forecast period with a likelihood of partly cloudy condition over Ilorin during the morning hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 38℃ and 15 – 20℃ respectively, except over Jos where 28℃/12℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region in the morning hours with chances of isolated showers and thunderstorms over some cities like Lagos, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Akure, Benin, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and Yenagoa in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 37℃ and 19 – 26℃ respectively.
