Sunny weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has predicted sunny and hazy weather conditions over central states of the country on Friday, with partly cloudy skies over Lokoja, Makurdi and Mambila Plateau.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Thursday also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 28 to 39 and 12 to 20 degrees celsius respectively.
The agency predicted cloudy to partly cloudy condition with prospect of localised thunderstorms over the coastal cities of Calabar, Port Harcourt, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode and Yenagoa in the afternoon and evening period.
It also predicted that the southern states would experience day and night temperatures in the range of 34 to 36 and 20 to 23 degrees celsius.
According to NiMet, Northern States will experience moderate dust haze condition with visibility range of two to five kilometres throughout the forecast period.
It added that the Northern region would also experience day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 35 and 15 to 20 degrees celsius.
“Moderate dust haze condition in horizontal visibility range of two to five kilometres is anticipated over the Northern states while most parts of the Central region will be sunny and hazy.
“Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are anticipated over the Southern areas with chances of localised thunderstorms around the coastal cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
