Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet), has predicted partly cloudy to sunny weather conditions over the Central States of the country on Sunday.
NiMet’s Weather Outlook by its Central Forecast Office in Abuja on Saturday, also predicted day and night temperatures in the range of 30 to 37 and 15 to 24 degrees Celsius respectively.
The agency predicted that the southern states would experience partly cloudy to cloudy conditions with prospect of localised thunderstorms over Port- Harcourt, Calabar and Eket in the morning hours.
It also predicted afternoon/evening localised thunderstorms over Ikom, Akure, Benin, Ijebu, Obudu, Calabar, Lagos, Ado-Ekiti, Enugu and Uyo with day and night temperatures of 32 to 35 and 23 to 25 degrees Celsius respectively.
According to NiMet, northern states will experience sunny and hazy conditions throughout the forecast period except Yelwa axis that is expected to be under partly cloudy to sunny conditions.
“The northern states are also expected to experience day and night temperature values in the range of 35 to 39 and 14 to 22 degrees Celsius respectively.
“Sunny and hazy condition are expected to prevail over the northern cities.
“The central cities are anticipated to be partly cloudy to sunny conditions with possibilities of localised thunderstorms over some parts of the southern cities in the next 24 hours,” NiMet predicted. (NAN)
