The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, November 9, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Slight dust haze condition is expected to prevail over most of the cities in this region during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 35 ℃ and 13 – 19 ℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Sunny and hazy conditions are anticipated over this region except for cities like Lokoja, Ilorin, Jalingo and Makurdi where partly cloudy condition is anticipated during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 36℃ and 15 – 21℃ respectively, except over Jos where 28℃ – 13℃ day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy to partly cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the region during the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over the coastal areas like Calabar, Eket, Port Harcourt, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt and Lagos, including the inland cities such as Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Akure, Benin and its environ during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34℃ and 19 – 25℃ respectively.
