The Delta State Government through the office of the Commissioner of Higher Education Engr. Jude Sinebe, FNSE, has urged the general public to disregard the speculated increment in the Delta State University Abraka Acceptance Fees.
Sinebe told newsmen on Tuesday at Asaba that students’ welfare is paramount to the Governor Ifeanyi Okowa administration, adding that it will never compromise the quality education.
He said: “The State Government didn’t approve fees increment for Delta State University Abraka. Despite the recession, the State Government will not add to the burden of Deltans; we are focused and committed at creating a conducive learning environment for all and making Education affordable to all Deltans.
“The Delta State University Abraka and all state-owned tertiary institutions’ management are advised to maintain the approved fees inclusive of Acceptance fees for 2016/17 for use in 2017/18 academic session.”
