Robots for Christ win Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 2, pocket N10 million

After nearly 13 weeks of talent display, Robots for Christ, finally joined the league of millionaires as they floored nine other finalists to emerge winner of the Airtel-sponsored Nigeria’s Got Talent Season 2, held earlier today in Lagos, South-West Nigeria.

For coming tops, the duo of Etinosa Ewere and Efe Nosa a.k.a Robots for Christ from Benson Idahosa University carted home the grand prize of N10 million cash. Robots for Christ is a two-man dance group blessed with dance moves that are unique and awesome in diverse ways.

The announcement of the winner created mixed reaction from the audience that thronged the Dream Studio, venue of the grand finale. But Yibo Koko, one of the judges of the talent hunt reality show, told News Express that the huge pool of talent made it impossible to determine who was the best among the finalists. “Nigerians have made their choice which incidentally is one of the people I tipped to win,” he stated.

Incidentally, both Amarachi Uyane, the Season One winner, and Robots for Christ are from the same talent academy, Maridas Academy and Etinosa Ewere, one half of the group, says that they hope to remain with the academy for a very long time.

“We are very happy to emerge the winner, but we must add that everyone is a winner. In future we will continue to do what we do best and improve in our craft and hopefully continue to work with Maridas academy because they have done so much for us,” he said.

Segun Ogunsanya, Chief Executive of Airtel Communications, said that his organisation was happy to invest in the future because that is what Airtel stands for: helping to discover talent.

It would be recalled that eight years old Amarachi Uyane won the maiden edition of the show last year.
