Governor Okezie Ikpeazu of Abia State on Wednesday sent the list of Secretary to the State Government (SSG) and 24 Commissioner nominees to the Abia State House of Assembly for screening and confirmation. The SSG-nominee is Dr. Eme Okoro (Bende), who is returning to his former beat.
The Commissioner-nominees are as follows:

Among the 24 Commissioner-nominees are eight former Commissioners who were in the last cabinet dissolved last June.
They are Henry Ikoh (Science and Technology), Gab Igboko (Environment and Solid minerals), Uzo Azubuike (Agriculture), Charles Ogbonnaya (Local Government and Cheiftaincy Affairs), Eziuche Ubani (Works), Barr Uche Ihediwa (Housing), Prof Ikechi Mgbeoji (Education), and John Ahukanna (Health).
Among the new ones are former Speakers of Abia State House of Assembly, Chief Christopher Enweremadu (Isiala Ngwa North), and Rt. Hon Asiforo Okere (Ukwa East)
