The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, October 5, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: This region is expected to be partly cloudy to sunny, with chances of localised thundery/thunderstorm activities over Yelwa, Southern Maiduguri and Bauchi in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 36 - 40℃and 21 - 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are to prevail over this region in the morning hours. However, there are chances of thunderstorms/rain showers over Kaduna, Minna, Bida, Jos, Ilorin, and Abuja, Lokoja, Lafia and Makurdi axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 - 36℃and 21 - 27℃respectively, except over Jos where 29℃and 18℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over the region in the morning, with chances of localised thunderstorms over Akure, Benin, Shaki, Lagos, Port Harcourt, Uyo, Eket, Calabar and environs while localised thunderstorms are anticipated over most places later in the afternoon/evening hours with the exception of South West coast region that is expected to be cloudy. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 34℃and 21 - 25℃respectively.
