Troops of 27 TF Bde have been urged not to relent in their efforts in denying the adversary freedom of action. The Ag GOC 3 Div, Brig Gen Benjamin Ahanotu, gave the advice during his address to troops of 27TFBde located at Azare, Kamuya and Goniri,to markNigeria’s 57th Independence Anniversary.
In his address to troops, the Ag GOC urged them not to rest on their oars until the remnants of BokoHaram terroristshad been swept away. He enjoined them to be vigilant and maintained the momentum in sweeping the remnants of the terrorists away within the Bde’ s Area of Responsibility. He later donated cows to troops of 27 TF Bde and 29 TF Bde to commemorate the Independence Anniversary.
Earlier on arrival at HQ 27 TF Bde located in Buniyadi, Borno State, the Ag GOC and his entouragewas received and briefed by the Commander, Brig Gen Aminu Bande.
Deputy Director of Army Public Relations, Colonel Kayode Ogunsanya, said: “The Ag GOC’svisit to 27 TF Bde was in compliance with AHQ directive that Commanders should spend Independence Anniversary with troops in the frontline.
“The visit is to appreciate their sacrifice and also serve as a morale booster to the troops deployed at the frontlines.”
The Ag GOC was accompanied during the visit by Comd 3 Div Prov Gp, Col SN Eze, DDAPR Col KO Ogunsanya and DCOS G1 Col AGL Haruna.
