Soldiers torturing one of the arrested BNYL members
At least six members of the Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) have been arrested in Aba, Abia State, by Nigerian troops.
BNYL Leader, Comrade Princewill Obuka, broke the news to News Express. He said the arrests took place yesterday.
“According an electronic message by an eye witness, Chukwudi Ikenna, the BNYL members were apprehended along Aba – Owerri Road. They are still held hostage,” Comrade Obuka said.
He called for the release of the youthful Biafra activists, saying that they do not constitute a threat to peace in any way and should not have been arrested in the first place.
