BNYL Leader, Comrade Princewill Obuka
The Biafra Nations Youth League (BNYL) has called on Nigerian military to vacate the South East before seven days.
BNYL Leader, Princewill Obuka, in a statement made available to News Express, warned against consequences that will follow militarisation of the region.
“From the declaration of Operation Piton Dance to the killings of Biafrans in Abia State, there abound a spectre of regrettable acts that are to say the least, heartrending and injurious to the spirits of our heroes and youths. But we must fight on,” Obuka said.
Continuing, he said: “This Nigerian marriage I must say is not made in heaven and is subject to divorce. The differences that exist amongst the peoples are deep rooted and more than the surface present. Yet, one may begin to wonder, why is the Nigerian leadership adamant on conquering Biafraland?
“The answer is obvious they have in unmistakable terms proven that they are after our land, resources and above all to keep us in servitude... But then a host of army have conquered us before now, we will surely overcome.”
Obuka reminded the Nigeria government of the gruesome three years civil war which was fought to keep a country on the one hand and a people on the other side and therefore warned against the looming danger.
“This Police action as unwarranted as they may be is an affront on the Igbo race, entire Biafrans and all believers in the right and dignity of the human person.”
“I am emboldened to say without mincing words that Nigeria is sitting on a keg of gun powder, which may explode any day. As the saying goes, he that gathers ant infested faggot should expect the visit of lizards,” he added.
Obuka advised the Nigeria Army to, within seven days from the date of his press statement, discontinue Operation Python Dance, stressing that “It must extend an apology to the victims of the heinous acts and make recompense as is necessary. I warn strongly against the ugly scenes that will play out if the Nigerian hawks fail to learn from history.”
