The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, August 26, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorms are expected over Sokoto, Gusau and parts of Kebbi State in the morning. Later in the day, there are chances of thunderstorms over this region. Day and night temperature values are anticipated to be in the ranges of 30 – 36℃and 21 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Abuja, Mambila plateau, and Makurdi are to expect morning thunderstorms. Later in afternoon, Localised thunderstorms are expected over the entire region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 20 – 23℃respectively.
SOUTHERN STATES: The inland cites of the south are expected to be cloudy in the morning except for parts of Enugu where morning rains are probable. Localised thunderstorms are probable over the inland cities in the afternoon/evening hours. The coast has prospects of rains during the forecast period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 26 – 33℃and 21 – 24℃respectively.
