The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday 9 August, 2017:
NORTHERN REGION: Cloudy morning is anticipated over this region. Localised thunderstorm is expected over Kano, Katsina and Maiduguri axis in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33℃ and 21 – 25℃ respectively.
CENTRAL REGION: Localised rain is anticipated over Abuja, Jalingo and Minna axis in the morning hours. There are prospects of localised rain showers over Jos, Kaduna, Abuja, Lokoja, Yola, Bauchi and its environs in the afternoon/evening period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 29℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively except Jos at 21/17℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: There are prospects of localised rains over Yenagoa, Calabar and Port Harcourt axis during the morning hours. Localised rain showers are expected over Enugu, Akure, Ado, Abakaliki and Oshogbo axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 25 – 29℃ and 21 – 23℃ respectively.
