Former Secretary General of Ohanaeze Ndigbo, Chief Nduka Eya has been kidnapped from his residence at Independent Layout, Enugu.

New Expressgathered that he was taken away on Thursday evening by some armed men. Details of his abduction were however not known at the time of filing this report.

Mr. Ebere Amaraizu, the Enugu State Police Public Relations Officer, confirmed the incident but said he would come up with details later.

Eya’s abductors, it was gathered, have demanded a N15 million ransom to release of the elder statesman.

Eya was the Commissioner for Education in the old Anambra State and a one-time Commissioner of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).
