Rain showers
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, August 5, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region with prospects of isolated thunderstorms over Maiduguri, Nguru, Potiskum and its environs in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are expected over Kano, Katsina and Maiduguri. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 37℃and 20-25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness with prospects of isolated thunderstorm anticipated over Minna, Bida, Abuja and Lokoja in the morning hours. There are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Mambilla, Ibi, Jos and Kaduna later in the day; however Abuja and Lafia are expected to experience rain showers. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃and 21 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 25/17℃
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over the entire southern cities with the exception of Port Harcourt, Eket, Calabar and its environs that have chances of isolated rains in the morning hours. As the day progresses, isolated rains are expected to prevail over the Inland Cities while intermittent rains are expected to prevail over the entire coastal cities in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 27 - 30℃and 20 - 23℃respectively.
