The Edo State Governor, Mr. Godwin Obaseki has appointed Mr. Francis Osakpamwan Evbuomwan as the Managing Director of sate Geographic Information Services Agency with effect from August 1.

Evbuomwan’s appointment was contained in a letter signed by the Secretary to the State Government, Osarodion Ogie Esq.

Evbuomwan is the immediate past state Commissioner for Housing and Urban Development and a chartered architect, certified and registered with the Architects’ Registration Council of Nigeria.

The Agency is a product of the ongoing reform in land administration by the Obaseki administration, designed to capture and store geographic data for urban planning and other socioeconomic purposes.
