The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, July 4, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over this region during the morning hours with chances of thunderstorms over Sokoto, Kano, Maiduguri, Nguru and Dutse. Later in the afternoon, thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 - 33℃and 20 -25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of thunderstorms over Abuja, Minna, Lafia, Jalingo and their environs during the morning hours. Later in the day, thunderstorms are anticipated over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 31℃and 23 – 24℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃

SOUTHERN STATES: Morning rains are expected over the coast and inland cities of the southeast during the morning hours. However, there are prospect of thunderstorms/rain activities over the region in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 27 – 29℃and 21- 24℃respectively.
