Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Tuesday 1 August, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected across this region but there are possibilities of thunderstorms with rains over Sokoto, Kebbi and Maiduguri. In the afternoon, Kano, Zaria, Bauchi, Gombe and Katsina are expected to have thunderstorms with moderate rains. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34℃and 20 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: This region is expected to be cloudy in the morning while there is prospect of thunderstorms with light rains over some parts of Abuja, Minna, Bida and Lafia. There are prospects of thunderstorms with precipitation over Kaduna and Jos. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 32℃and 18 – 23℃respectively except Jos with 26/17℃
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region with chances of rains over Eket, Calabar, Port Harcourt and Warri. Later in the day, thunderstorms with moderate to heavy precipitation are anticipated over parts of the inland areas like Enugu, Onitsha, Awka, Owerri, Ilorin, Oshogbo and Akure. The coastal areas have chances of rain showers in the same period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 33℃and 21 – 23℃respectively.
