The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday, July 29, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Damaturu, Nguru, Maiduguri and Potiskum in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorms are expected over Maiduguri, Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Kebbi, Dutse, Potiskum and Gusau in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 34℃and 22 – 23℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness with prospects of localised thunderstorm is expected over Yelwa, Minna, Bida, Ilorin, Shaki, Abuja, Lafia, Jos and Bauchi in the morning hours. However, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Makurdi, Minna, Mambilla, Jos Lafia, Lokoja, Jalingo and Yola in afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 26 – 32℃and 18 – 23℃respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected to prevail over Abeokuta, Oshogbo Ado Ekiti and Akure while localised thunderstorms are expected over places such as Enugu, Awka, Asaba and Umuahia, Abakaliki and Owerri also localised rains are anticipated over Lagos and Ijebu Ode in the morning hours. As the day progresses, localised thunderstorms are expected to prevail over the most parts of this region. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 31℃and 21 – 23℃respectively.
