The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, July 28, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region with prospects of thunderstorms over Kebbi, Yelwa and environs in the morning hours. Localised thunderstorm is anticipated over Katsina, Nguru and Kano axis in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 34℃and 23 – 25℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorm is anticipated over Abuja, Makurdi, Obudu, Ibi, Jalingo and Ikom axis in the morning hours. There are prospects of thunderstorms over Kaduna, Zaria, Jos, Bauchi, Ilorin and Kogi axis in the afternoon/evening hours.

Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 28 – 31℃and 20 – 23℃respectively except Jos with 26/18℃

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region. Localised thunderstorms are anticipated over some parts of the inland areas of this region during the afternoon/evening period while the coastal areas have chances of rain showers in the same period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 27 – 30℃and 20 – 23℃respectively.
