Ebonyi Chief Judge releases 38 prisoners

Ebonyi State Chief Judge, Justice Alloy Nwankwo

The Chief Judge of Ebonyi State, Justice Alloy Nwankwo, on Tuesday, released a total of 38 inmates of Abakaliki and Afikpo prisons in different categories. The release was carried out for the purpose of decongesting the prisons.

The details are: Discharge 16; Self recognizance nine; Bail with conditions13, bringing the total to 38.

The Controller of Prison, Ebonyi State Command, CP Adobi Emelia Oputa, in her speech advised all the discharged inmates to be of good behaviour and avoid all acts that may lead to their coming back to the prison. (PRNigeria)
