Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMet) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, July 19, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Over the extreme North, localised thunderstorms are anticipated in places like Maiduguri, Damaturu and Yelwa axis in the morning hours. While in the afternoon/evening hours, the region is expected to be partly cloudy. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 37℃and 18 – 25℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Jos, Mambila Plateau, and Jalingo are expected to experience thunderstorms in the morning while other areas are expected to be cloudy in the morning. Later in afternoon/evening hours, thunderstorms are expected over the region. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29– 33℃and 17 – 24℃respectively except Jos at 24/17℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning, cloudy conditions are expected in the inland cities with likelihood of rains in the afternoon/evening period. Over the coastal areas, rains are expected to prevail during the forecast period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 30℃and 22 – 24℃respectively.
