The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Sunday, July 2, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy morning is expected across this region. Later in the afternoon, thunderstorms are expected over Kano, Yelwa, Maiduguri, Nguru and Sokoto. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32- 40℃ and 20 – 24℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected with prospects of thunderstorms over places like Mambilla Plateau, Lafia, Kaduna, Makurdi and Bauchi. In the afternoon hours, thunderstorms are expected over some places like Ibi, Jos, Abuja and Bauchi. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 32℃ and 21 – 25℃ respectively except Jos at 26/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: The coastal areas such as, Lagos, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket are expected to witness rains in the morning period. Later In the afternoon/evening hours, thunderstorms are not unlikely over places like Oshogbo, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Obudu, Awka, Onitsha, Benin, Enugu, Abakaliki, Yenagoa, Calabar, Uyo, Port Harcourt and Eket. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 27 – 32℃ and 21 – 25℃ respectively.
