The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Monday, June 12, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning except Yelwa, Kebbi, Bauchi and Dutse with chances of isolated thunderstorm. Cloudiness is expected to persist over some cities with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Kano, Katsina, Nguru and Maiduguri in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 40℃and 24 – 26℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated in this region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Minna and its environs in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Lokoja, Bida, Lafia and Makurdi during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 35℃and 23 – 26℃respectively, except over Jos where 28℃and 18℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over the inland cities of south-east and south-west except, Ilorin, Shaki, Akure, Iseyin and Oshogbo with chances of localised thunderstorms. The coast will be influenced by isolated rain showers in the morning hours. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over this region during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 29 – 34℃and 23 – 25℃.
