The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Sunday, June 11, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over places such as Sokoto, Kano, Dutse and Potiskum in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 41℃and 23 – 28℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated in this region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Mambilla, Minna, Bida and its environs in the morning. Cloudiness is expected to persist with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Abuja, Lafia, Lokoja, Makurdi, Jos, Bauchi and Yola during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 29 – 36℃and 20 – 28℃respectively, except over Jos where 29℃and 20℃day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over Akure, Ado Ekiti, Abeokuta, Ibadan and Oshogbo while localised thunderstorms are expected over places such as Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Obudu, Ikom Eket, Port Harcourt and Calabar in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Onitsha, Asaba, Enugu, Ibadan, Akure, Ado Ekiti, Abeokuta, Shaki, Oshogbo, Lagos, Ijebu Ode Ikom Eket, Port Harcourt and Calabar and environs during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 35℃and 22 – 27℃.
