The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Wednesday, June 8, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected with localised thunderstorm over Kano axis in the morning hours. Later in the day, isolated thunderstorms are likely over Maiduguri, Yelwa, Gusau, Katsina, Nguru and its environs while the rest of the northern states remain under partly cloudy to cloudy conditions. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 38℃and 19 – 27℃respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy conditions are anticipated over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Yola, Makurdi, Jos, Gombe, Bauchi and Jalingo axis during the morning hours. Cloudy conditions are expected over Ilorin, Minna, Makurdi, Lafia, Ibi, Lokoja and Bida axis with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Abuja, Kaduna, Jos, Bauchi, Gombe, Yola and Jalingo, during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 30 – 33℃and 20 – 25℃respectively except Jos at 27/18℃

SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is likely over the region with chances of isolated rains over Ikeja, Ijebu-Ode, Warri, Yenagoa, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and its environs during the morning hours. There are prospects of isolated thunderstorms over most part of the southern cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 33℃and 20 – 23℃respectively.
