The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Saturday 3, 2017:

NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning. There are prospects of localised thunderstorms over places such as Maiduguri, Kano, Dutse, Damaturu, Nguru and Potiskum in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 35 – 40℃ and 25 – 29℃ respectively.

CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy to cloudy conditions are anticipated in this region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Mambilla, Makurdi and Lafia and its environs in the morning. Cloudiness is expected to persist with prospects of localised thunderstorms over Kaduna, Lokoja, Makurdi, Jos, Bauchi and Yola during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 35℃ and 23 – 26℃ respectively, except over Jos where 29℃ and 18℃ day and night temperatures are expected.

SOUTHERN STATES: Localised thunderstorms are expected over places such as Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Ado Ekiti, Oshogbo, Akure, Ibadan, Enugu, Awka, Owerri, Obudu, Ikom and Calabar in the morning. Later in the day, there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Onitsha, Asaba, Enugu, Ibadan, Akure and Oshogbo while cloudiness is expected over Calabar and its environs, isolated rains are likely over Lagos and Ijebu Ode in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and Night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 28 – 35℃ and 21 – 24℃.
