Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Tuesday, May 16, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning except over Yelwa where localised thunderstorms are expected. Later in the day, Sokoto, Gusau, Kano and Yelwa have prospects of localised thunderstorms. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 41℃and 24 – 29℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region except over Jalingo, Ibi and Mambilla Plateau with chances of localised thunderstorms. Abuja, Minna, Bida, Jos, Lafia have chances of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 33 – 37℃and 21 – 26℃respectively, except over Jos where 30oC and 18oC day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning, localised thunderstorms are anticipated over Enugu, Abakaliki, Lagos and Ijebu-Ode while the rest of the cities in this region will be cloudy. However, localised thunderstorms are expected to affect Lagos, Akure, Ado-Ekiti, Ibadan, Ondo, Abeokuta, Umuahia, Owerri, Awka, Warri, Yenagoa, Portharcourt, Calabar, Eket and Uyo in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 34℃and 21 – 25℃.
