Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Friday, May 13, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Isolated thunderstorms is anticipated over Gusau, Kebbi and Yelwa axis in the morning hours with chances of localised thunderstorms over southern Borno, Potiskum, Yola and Gombe axis in the afternoon/evening period. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 36 – 41℃and 24 – 28℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Localised thunderstorms is expected over Jalingo axis in the morning hours with prospect of localised thunderstorms over cities such as Abuja, Jos, Makurdi, and Lafia axis during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 35℃and 21 – 25℃respectively except Jos with 30/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy condition is anticipated with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Badagry, Eket, and Onne in the morning hours while cities like Abeokuta, Lagos, Ijebu-Ode, Enugu, Port Harcourt, Calabar, Obudu-Ikom axis are expected to experience localised thunderstorms during the evening/night period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 34℃and 22 – 24℃respectively.
