Ex-Delta Speaker Monday Igbuya
Delta State’s House of Assembly on Thursday impeached its Speaker, Rt. Hon. Monday Igbuya. He was promptly replaced with Sheriff Oborevwori, the lawmaker representing Okpe constituency.
Mr. Igbuya was accused of financial misappropriation and highhandedness.
His impeachment came after 22 out of the 29 members of the House voted for his removal.
Igbuya was impeached alongside the Majority Leader of the house, Tim Owhofere.
