The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today, Wednesday, May 10, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are anticipated to prevail over this region during the morning hours. Later into the day, isolated thunderstorms are likely over Yelwa, Gusau and its environ. Day and Night temperature value are expected to be in the range of 35 – 42℃ and 21 – 27℃ respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudiness is anticipated over the region with chances of isolated thunderstorms over Jalingo, Ibi and its environs during the morning hours. Chances of isolated thunderstorms are expected over Abuja, Minna, Kaduna, Jos, Bauchi, Southern Dutse, Gombe, Yola, Jalingo, Mambilla Plateau, Ibi, Makurdi, Lafia, Lokoja and its environ during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 31 – 36℃ and 21 – 26℃ respectively except Jos at 30/18℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudiness is likely over the inland cities with chances of isolated rain showers over the southwest coast and isolated thunderstorms over the southeast coast during the morning hours. However, there are chances of isolated thunderstorms over most part of the southern cities during the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 32 – 34℃ and 21 – 25℃ respectively.
