Cloudy weather
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NiMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Monday, May 8, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over this region in the morning. Later in the day there are prospects of localised thunderstorms over Sokoto, Gusau and Yelwa while Gombe and Bauchi have chances of thundery activities. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 34 – 42℃and 19 – 28℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over this region except over Abuja, Minna, Bida, Ilorin and Lokoja with prospects thunderstorms while Mambilla plateau and Jalingo axis have chances of localised thunderstorms later in the day. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 32 – 36℃and 21 – 26℃respectively, except over Jos where 30oC and 18oC day and night temperatures are expected.
SOUTHERN STATES: In the morning, the region will expect widespread thunderstorms over Awka, Enugu, Umuahia and environs which is expected to affect Ado-Ekiti, Osogbo, Ibadan, Saki, Akure and Iseyin later in the day. Port Harcourt, Calabar, Eket and Uyo, Yenagoa, Warri, Benin, and Ikeja also have chances of localised thunderstorms in the afternoon/evening hours. The day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 30 – 35℃and 20 – 25℃
