IPOB Leader Nnamdi Kanu
The Indigenous People of Biafra (IPOB) and its leadership worldwide,Wednesdaycondemned people they described asunscrupulous individuals for fabricating letters and stories with the name of the group’s Supreme Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu, who came out of prison just a few days ago.
The group in a statement signed by its Media and Publicity Secretary, Comrade Emma Powerful, warned those behind the campaign of calumny, especially the APC propaganda machine and their affiliates to stop the acts with immediate effect or face the wrath of IPOB.
The statement reads: “Those behind this latest show of shame are fully aware that our leader is unable to speak up against some of these fabrications as he was barred from speaking to the media by Justice Binta Nyako who went over and beyond her Fulani agenda to impose unconstitutional and draconian gagging order as part of a bail condition.
“These agent provocateurs sponsored by DSS and Lai Mohammed are fully awarethat our leader cannot grant Press interviews for now but it will be appalling for these immoral purveyors of iniquity and evil men in the society to be writing Press Statements in the name of our leader, without proper consultation.
“Our Supreme Leader, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu cannot grant press interview to counter these fabricated letters and stories by these evil men, meanwhile we ask them to stop forthwith because IPOB members worldwide cannot fold their arms and watch them attempt to tarnish the reputation of our leader.
‘The leader of IPOB, Mazi Nnamdi Kanu has said it long time ago that his only focus is to restore Biafra and nothing else, anybody who is trying to bring restructuring of Nigeria into the struggle for the liberation of Biafra is doing that to his or her own detriment.
“Therefore, any person or group of persons who think that our leader can even dream of agreeing to restructuring or tampering with the ethos of the struggle is as deluded as those supporting (President Muhammadu) Buhari, his directionless APC and One Nigeria.
“The struggle for Biafra independence is a divine project which no man born of a woman can stop. Those peddling fabricated stories should understand that Mazi Nnamdi Kanu and IPOB members worldwide are the instruments which God Almighty decided to use for the liberation of Biafra people.”
IPOB further stressed that the suffering of Igbo people in Nigeria has reached a point of no return adding that Biafra will be restored with truth and honesty.
