Thunderstorm
The Nigerian Meteorological Agency (NIMET) has made the following predictions about the country’s weather condition for today,Thursday, April 27, 2017:
NORTHERN STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over places such as Katsina, Kebbi, Kano, Dutse, Sokoto, Potiskum, Nguru and Damaturu, with possibilities of localised thunderstorms over Yola in the afternoon/evening hours. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 43℃and 22 – 26℃respectively.
CENTRAL STATES: Partly cloudy conditions are expected over the central states in the morning hours with isolated thunderstorms over Southern Mambilla and Ibi in the morning. Chances of localised thunderstorms are also likely over some locations such as Ibi, Lafia, Makurdi, Abuja, Jalingo and Mambilla during the evening/night period. Day and night temperature values are expected to be in the range of 38 – 43℃and 22 – 26℃.
SOUTHERN STATES: Cloudy morning is expected over the South-West with prospects of localised thunderstorms over the coastal cities such as Port Harcourt and Calabar in the morning. Prospects of localised thunderstorms are likely over Lagos, Ijebu Ode, Abeokuta, Ibadan, Ekiti and Akure, parts of Yenagoa, Ikom, Benin, Warri, Asaba, Umuahia, Oshogbo, Enugu, Owerri, Awka, Abakaliki and Obudu during the afternoon/evening period. Day and night time temperatures are expected to be in the ranges of 31 – 36℃and 22 – 26℃respectively.
